About Amanda R. Davis
Royale Piano is a piano instruction service founded and owned by Amanda R. Davis.
After many years of training and experiences, Royale Piano lessons have evolved to provide optimal standards of quality learning and private instruction throughout the West Coast and beyond. Dedicated to a teaching philosophy that embraces the Kodály and Suzuki method, Amanda continues to empower students with a growth-mindset approach. She remains committed to helping students develop their creative talent and success.
ABOUT MY BACKGROUND — I grew up during the start of the 90’s in Silicon Valley (San Jose) and started formal music education training at age 4 in classical and jazz piano at Almaden School of Music.
A few years later, my family relocated to Southern California. During this time was when I decided to self-teach on piano. I began experimenting, composing pieces, creating in the moment.
In 2011 after starting my first year in college, I was offered a job as a piano instructor for a piano teaching company called Keyboard Educators. I started my music teaching journey at age 20, receiving mentorship by teachers and professional musicians across the Bay area.
A few years later, I transferred to Cal State San Marcos in 2014. and began offering private piano lessons to students of all ages in San Diego and Riverside County while completing a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Performing Arts & Music Technology. Shortly after graduating in 2017, I moved to Portland, Oregon to expand my music service. It has been a privilege to teach and serve an increasing number of children and adults in church settings, private and public schools, daycares and homes since 2012.
